Your problem is that you don't have a working compiler in your path.  
The usual linux compiler would be the GNU g++ compiler that was not 
found on that test line.   If you have the intel compiler installed 
instead then you should add icc as an option to your build line.   If 
your machine does not have a compiler installed then you should download 
the binary distributed of NAMD.
