Hello to everybody,
In our quest of having a cluster operative with Charm++ and so forth, we have
seen something that may be interesting for the charm++ community. We are
redeveloping a system that would configure an Ubuntu or Debian to have a
diskless Cluster in an 1-click fashion. This system called KestrelHPC is
going to be a .deb package and we will host it in launchpad. We are thinking
of adapting KestrelHPC to Charm++ also (just creating the node list
automatically is enough). So we had the idea of also packaging Charm++ and
hosting it in our server so as to have a more complete software offer and
then doing a Charm++ plugin package to join KestrelHPC and Charm++.
So, put in everything a nutshell, we are thinking of doing a .deb to install
more easily charm++ (net-linux version only) and a package to adapt to our
Linux system. Do we have the communities permission to do that?
Thank you in advance,
Denis
