-------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: [ppl] [charm] Question regarding OpenAtom + load balancing Date: Mon, 4 Jun 2012 10:18:08 -0500 From: Eric Bohm <ebohm AT illinois.edu> To: <ppl AT cs.uiuc.edu> That understanding is correct. OpenAtom does not have dynamic load imbalance. Load is managed by a careful initial placement. One of our students (Osman) is considering using OpenAtom as a framework for studying load imbalance caused by variable processor speed due to power constraints, but that project is only in its conceptual stage.
