All,
We're trying to upgrade the tutorial material available for charm++.
In the process we want to dwell on commonly used idioms or patterns in
the charm++ programming model. Any ideas, insights or suggestions will
be very useful. Do chime in!
- What idioms have you found useful / recurrent in expressing parallel
logic in charm++ ?
- Were there any surprises along the way? This refers not to syntax /
API, but more to the semantics of working with mesage-driven objects.
- If you were writing MPI programs before learning charm, what are the
features that you found problematic, unexpected, or useful ?
- What concepts or programming idioms do you wish had been pointed out
explicitly ?
Any other issues / topics that you would like to see explained more
clearly in a beginner's tutorial on charm++.
Thanks in advance!
