Charm++ parallel programming system

Try this - 

$ MPICXX=/opt/platform_mpi/bin/mpiCC OPTS_CXX=-Wno-deprecated MPICC=/opt/platform_mpi/bin/mpicc OPTS_CC=-Wno-depreacted ./build charm++ mpi-linux-x86_64 --basedir=/opt/platform_mpi -Wno-deprecated

I tried this one on your hpcsystem, and it worked for me.

Hm, I do not see any error output in the charmconfig.out. The only thing I can suggest is to add  -Wno-deprecated as a parameter to build:

$ MPICXX=/opt/platform_mpi/bin/mpiCC  MPICC=/opt/platform_mpi/bin/mpicc ./build charm++ mpi-linux-x86_64 --basedir=/opt/platform_mpi -Wno-deprecated

If this doesn't solve the problem, is there a possibility of you getting me access to this machine, so that I can manually look at the issue?

Can you try adding --basedir=/opt/platform_mpi as a build option:

$ MPICXX=/opt/platform_mpi/bin/mpiCC  MPICC=/opt/platform_mpi/bin/mpicc ./build charm++ mpi-linux-x86_64 --basedir=/opt/platform_mpi 

If it fails, send the /home/hpcadmin/software/NAMD2/NAMD_2.9_Source/charm-6.4.0/mpi-linux-x86_64/tmp/charmconfig.out file to me.
