We normally don't override or modify
the insert function. If you wish to have more control over
placement, you should look at section 13.2.2 of the manual.

When I'm inserting elements dynamically into a
chare array, I see that the method
"void CProxyElement_<Charearray
class>::insert(int onPE)" is created in .def.h file.
Is there a way to obtain the indices of the array
elements within the insert() function when it is invoked?
For example, if I have a statement
"myChareArray(10).insert();", how can I obtain the index 10
within the insert function in the definitions file?
Thanks,
Vasudevan
