Performance study of an incorrect code is putting the cart before
the horse. As a trace based performance analysis tool, Projections
is suitable for debugging performance problems. Due to its
dependence on traces, it is inappropriate for the analysis of
execution correctness problems. You can attach a debugger to your program on most charm platforms. For example: charmrun +p2 ./myprogram myargument ++debug-no-pause On properly configured systems, that will run your program to the point at which it faults and provide you with a debugging session for each of the 2 processes. Naturally, the debugger will be able to provide more state information if your code is compiled with -g. On 11/04/2014 11:36 AM, Kale, Laxmikant

I don’t think you could expect to get usable traces from a program
that abnormally terminated. You may get lucky and get them, but
there is no guarantee.
