ChaNGa might be the one big application using CkIO. You can get download instructions from:
http://librarian.phys.washington.edu/astro/index.php/Research:ChaNGa
if you want to look at the source. The code using CkIO starts in
Main::outputBinary() in InOutput.C

Hello everyone,
I am a member of the spectre collaboration, which is working on building a large-scale relativistic astrophysics code. We are currently investigating Charm++ as an underlying framework.
I am trying to figure out the best way to do large-scale output in Charm++. I see that there is some capability, in the form of the CkIO library, but I can't figure out how to use it. Is there some documentation describing how to do file output? Or are there some examples that I could look at? I've found the source code, and the paper describing it (http://dx.doi.org/10.1109/CLUSTER.2011.82), but (possibly due to my newness to the framework), I still have no idea how to actually call the library in a program.
I'd appreciate any guidance you can offer. Thanks very much for your time.
Best,
Jonah Miller
