Has anyone had any success building/running Curator either on OS X or with Thrift 0.9.4?

From what I can tell, it’s not possible to build Thrift 0.8.0 on OS X. There are bug reports with Apache about this and some patches that were tested but none were ultimately successful so it looks like they did a partial re-write in version 0.9.0 that got it to finally work on OS X.

I can get Thrift 0.9.4 to build just fine on OS X but has anyone been able to get Curator to work with Thrift 0.9.0 or newer?
