Hi Hossein,

I'm assuming this just means that cabal ran at some time in the past under su 
and created the files as root. If that is the case, you can just run:

sudo chown -R hossein /home/hossein/.cabal

and set the permissions back to you as the owner. This may actually be a 
problem under your Sources/k-framework directory as well if the make script 
created any files before halting. David can correct me if I'm wrong, but I 
don't think there is anything essential about running cabal under sudo. On my 
K installation I have a .cabal directory as well, and I own all the files in 
there.

My understanding is that I have to use sudo given the following access denial:
