This isn't pure C, but it is related:

Eric Eide, Alastair Reid, John Regehr, and Jay Lepreau. Static and
dynamic structure in design patterns. In Proceedings of the 24th
International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE 2002), pages
208--218, Orlando, FL, May 2002.

There are some recent papers on patterns in TinyOS (nesC), but they are not
GoF
patterns, nor pure C.

Eric.
