A lot of us advise students doing research, both undergraduate and graduate
levels. I think there is an opportunity to capture good research advising
practice in patterns. I haven't seen any such, though, as a retired old
codger, I'm not very active any more.
I do follow the Academia site at
https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://academia.stackexchange.com/__;!!DZ3fjg!4ktegXJB3GPMiXgmEtiAY5964uZf9b4aqLrA775SNivL23DEh8apQgPKWpkXcVbzMChx_vhy4S9T4cDF743LtCQs34Rw8JSjLEU$
however, and notice that a lot of students run in to problems with advisors
and some academics could use advice on being a good advisor. A current
question there has asked for book recommendations for such things, but
patterns might be even better, especially if collected.
There might be two aspects to this: advising and being advised.
I'd be interested to know of any thing that exists and any interest in going
forward as a subproject of Pedagogical Patterns.
Stay well
Joe

it will become you; and if you are glad
whatever’s living will yourself become
