The University of Extremadura is pleased to announce the 2nd International Summer School on LLM-based Agents for Software Engineering (LLMA4SE 2026).

This summer school is designed for PhD students, researchers, and forward-thinking professionals eager to explore the frontier of Agentic AI and its transformative impact on the software engineering lifecycle. Moving beyond simple prompting, the program focuses on how autonomous LLM agents and multi-agent architectures are reshaping how we build, test, and maintain software.

Key Topics Include:

* Next-Gen Software Automation: Deploying LLM-based agents and advanced cognitive architectures for end-to-end tasks (from autonomous requirements engineering to self-healing code and CI/CD deployment).

* Evaluation & Benchmarking: Navigating the complexities of assessing autonomous agent performance, safety, and reliability in production environments.

* Human-Agent Synergies: Designing effective human-in-the-loop workflows and collaborative interfaces for seamless developer-AI teamwork.

Participants will engage in high-impact lectures and practical, hands-on labs delivered by internationally recognized reserachers in AI and software engineering.

Confirmed speakers include:

* Antonio Mastropaolo, William & Mary, USA

* Juan De Lara, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain
